Who is Henry Lysyk?
There are willing heroes, and there are unwilling heroes. And then there’s Henry Lysyk, who just can’t help himself. His internal barometer of justice compels him to stick his neck out, and he pays for it personally and professionally.
Henry’s feeling the weight of his forties. His marriage is over, and sabotaging his accounting career hasn’t helped. Still, he goes through the motions and puts on a suit most days, despite the fact that they fit baggier than they used to. Something needs to change. He grew a moustache; he was aiming for a Ryan Gosling look, but what he got was Gomez Addams. Never again.
As alone as he feels—or tries to be—he isn’t.
His best friend and lawyer, Alex, remains steadfast in his corner. His niece, Frieda, misses the old Henry and tries to recover what’s left. Although Henry’s professional reputation is tanked, he has inadvertently accumulated an eclectic network of allies who are more than willing to return a favor. And the strangers who occupy the other units of the old house in Vancouver can’t be avoided forever.
